About

StateWiseNews is a reference site for U.S. state-level rules, costs, and deadlines — minimum wage, sales and property tax, income tax, SNAP income limits, unemployment benefits, security deposit rules, car registration fees, and more.

What this site is

Every U.S. state sets its own numbers. The minimum wage in one state can be double that of another. Tax rules, benefit limits, and licensing fees differ just as much — and they change every year. StateWiseNews exists to make those numbers findable and verifiable in one place: comparison tables across all 50 states, plus deeper single-state guides.

Where the data comes from

Every number on this site is sourced from an official state or federal website (.gov) — state labor departments, departments of revenue, DMVs, and federal agencies. Each page links directly to its sources and shows when the data was last verified. If we couldn’t verify a figure against an official source, we don’t publish it.

Who runs it

StateWiseNews is run by the StateWise Research Desk. Research and writing are done by our small team, and every page is verified before publishing.

What this site is not

StateWiseNews is not a news publisher and does not publish breaking news, opinion, or reporting based on personal experience. The information here is general reference information, not legal, tax, or financial advice. Always confirm figures with the relevant state agency before making decisions.
